“When I chose real estate as a career, I knew it had to be more than just selling houses. Clients become family, I become obsessed with every detail of a transaction, and I know that an even greater purpose is being supported.
Any other way just wouldn’t be worth it to me.”
As a realtor, business owner, and non-profit founder and executive director, Nico is keenly aware that success is built upon establishing and nourishing relationships - and grit. Nico’s approach to her work is deeply rooted in her personal values, passed down from her military serving parents - loyalty, integrity, respect. “My goal is to bring some light to my work and in my interactions, mixed with tough love when necessary, humor, and exceeding expectations.”
She has a knack for connecting with people from all walks of life. “I grew up in Seattle, became an adult in New York City, discovered who I was in Los Angeles, and found my home in Tennessee.” And she has the ability to somehow make what seems impossible come to fruition.
“I had every job under the sun in my teens and early twenties. I was never afraid of hard work, and honestly thrived on it. Receptionist, bank teller, waitress, personal assistant, preschool teacher (if you ever doubt my negotiation skills, just know that I have wrangled and convinced twenty 3-year-olds to sit for story time in less than a minute). These jobs created my work ethic and built a solid foundation of exceptional customer service, finding humor in tough situations, being able to think outside the box, and over delivering.”
When Nico finds herself with a day off, she enjoys running trails with her dogs, escaping to the beach or a lake, going for a long drive, spending time with nieces and nephews, or taking a nap.
Fun Facts:
Go-to drink: Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned Coffee order: Tall, extra hot, breve, double caramel macchiato Favorite TV show of all time: Cheers If I could choose my last meal on earth: Mac & Cheese and an Old Fashioned Favorite album: Nevermind, Nirvana My favorite Facebook groups: Dull Women’s Club and FREE Photoshop Edits. (Please do yourself a solid and go join both. Thank me later.) I pride myself in: Phenomenal parallel parking skills, knowing when something isn’t happening to me, but happening for me, and seeing the good in just about anyone Most embarrassing moment: Losing my underwear at summer camp when I was 6 years old. Another kid found them and chucked them across the room, and all I remember seeing was the word FRIDAY on the front as they flew through the air. (Still mortified to this day.) Guilty pleasure: Binge watching Ghost Adventures Favorite job when I was younger: Working at a recording studio in Manhattan when I was 21. I got to bake a cake for Spike Lee, joke around with Bob Sagat, chat with Martin Scorcese, and spend 3 hours trying to track down a high end tea in Brooklyn for a British actress only for her to not take a sip. My closest friends would say: That I should have been a therapist, I can diffuse any situation, I will out-work anyone, I will block traffic to let a squirrel cross the road. My dream home would be: Simply one filled with friends, family, animals, children playing, and a hell of a lot of laughter
